Be sure to check out the exciting London-based female-fronted electronic-pop trio CHEW LiPS. The group just released their highly anticipated debut album, “Unicorn,” on January 25 in the UK via Family. “Unicorn” was produced by Dave Kosten (Bat for Lashes), and is an album that presents itself as a gloriously off-kilter take on pop with a number of wayward electronic elements. The UK press has taken notice of the group and its stunning debut with Q Magazine recently declaring the album “an accomplished first offering” and NME stating that “the threesome have created an utterly peerless work.” The group will also be making a special Stateside appearance to perform as part of the SXSW Music and Arts Festival in Austin, TX, in March. Details on shows and appearances are forthcoming.
